A Legendary Guitar
The ES-335 is the first semi-hollow body electric guitar envisioned by former CEO Ted McCarty, who considered it his most important contribution to Gibson guitars. Its production has never been interrupted, promoted over the decades by legendary artists such as B.B. King, Eric Clapton, Larry Carlton, and Warren Haynes.
Maintenance
The nitrocellulose lacquer, like on vintage Gibson guitars, plays a major role in the 'breathing' of the instrument due to its porous nature (the vibrations are not stifled by the lacquer). However, this lacquer is relatively sensitive to contact with plastics and foams of some stands, as well as some overly detergent cleaning products. To avoid damaging your guitar, we recommend Hercules stands, whose foams have a specially formulated non-abrasive design; for maintenance, the Gibson Vintage Restoration Kit ensures effective cleaning and polishing without any risk.
